On the 9 June 2020, SALC wrote letters to the UN Special Rapporteur on the promotion and protection of the right to freedom of opinion and expression and to the Special Rapporteur on Freedom of Expression and Access to Information for the African Commission on Human and Peoples Rights, raising concerns over the human rights situation in Tanzania in light of Covid-19.
