Many problems affecting adolescent access to SRH services, information and rights are due to the state of the law; either the absence of laws enabling access or where laws exist, ineffective or absent implementation due to lack of knowledge or understanding of the law and also legal barriers to access like the imposition of criminal sanctions on adolescents and unclear age of consent laws.
