On 5 April 2022, TransBantu Zambia (TBZ) in partnership with Southern Africa Litigation Centre (SALC) launched a research report on lived experiences of LGBTIQ+ persons in Zambia entitled “Key issues related to sexual orientation, gender identity and expression identified by a community consultation in Zambia”. The report is intended to inform advocacy and guide conversations on LGBTIQ+ human rights in Zambia.
The objective of the launch was to disseminate the research brief to members of the LGBTIQ+ community, local partners, regional and international partners and get recommendations for advocacy and future collaborations.
The launch was a physical and virtual event from 1100 to 1400 SAST.
