Mark Peters has a long and distinguished career as an academic at Business Schools, focusing on Strategy and Marketing. He has in the past been a board member at Educor, IMM, Wilgespruit Fellowship Centre, Ukukhanya Trust, Tswaranang Legal Advocacy Centre and South African Council of Churches. He is currently a board member of St Benedicts School, Business Ireland SA, and the EU Chamber of Commerce.
He was born and educated in Ireland and came to South Africa as a Peace Corp Volunteer with the Ford Foundation focusing on Community Banking and remittances of miners on the frontline states.
He currently works as an independent strategy facilitator in a wide range of industries as well as an independent Faculty member .
Mark was recently appointed as an Adjunct Associate Professor at the University of the Free State Business School in the Faculty of Economics and Management Sciences.
He holds an MBA with distinction from Henley. He is a Chartered marketer and has a Post Graduate Diploma in Company Direction. His focus on the Board of SALC is Governance, Strategy and Finance.
