Luntha Chimbwete joined SALC in October 2021 as a Research Assistant. She is a human rights lawyer and activist who holds a LLB(Hons) degree obtained from the University of Malawi. Luntha is also currently a Reprieve Fellow seeking to achieve the abolishment of the Death Penalty and Torture of suspects and prisoners in Malawi.
Before joining SALC, she worked as a legal intern for Centre for Human Rights Education, Advice and Assistance (CHREAA) and Churchill & Norris Law Firm.
