Emmanuela Sakala is a skilled adviser and legal practitioner with over 6 years of post-admission experience. She holds a Bachelor of Laws Degree (LLB) from the University of Zambia and is an Advocate of the High Court of Zambia.
Prior to joining SALC, she worked as a Senior Associate at a private law firm litigating various land-related disputes, matrimonial property arrangements and succession (estate) disputes among other civil litigation matters. There she grew a passion for the human rights aspects of litigation and the role that access to justice systems play in guaranteeing socio-economic rights. Over time, she has acquired some knowledge of the emerging field of LegalTech and how technology can be harnessed for the furtherance of access to justice and the protection of human rights.
