Since joining SALC in 2021, Agnes Mondlane position seen her role and responsibilities change from Intern, Research Assistant, Researcher and now holds the position of Environmental Justice researcher. She holds an LLB degree from the University of South Africa and a post graduate certificate in Climate Change and Energy Law from WITS University. She is currently doing her master’s in environmental law at WITS University.

Agnes worked as an intern at Duduzile Hlebela Incorporated, which is a law firm specialising in personal injury law and at Lawyers for Human Rights in both the Statelessness Unit and in the Refugee and Migrant Rights programme among others.

She served as a mentee to Magistrate Ruby Matthys through the South African Chapter of the International Association of Women Judges Mentorship programme.
