Agnes Mondlane joined SALC in April 2021. She is currently a final year LLB student at the University of South Africa. While pursuing her studies, she participated in various social activities, including the UNISA National Moot Court Competition, where she appeared before a distinguished panel of judges, including Deputy Judge President Mojapelo, where she conquered the competition with her team.

Agnes is no stranger to hard work and dedication, as she has worked at a multitude of legal environments to gain legal experience whilst engaged in her studies, such as working as an intern at Duduzile Hlebela Incorporated, which is a law firm specialising in personal injury law and at Lawyers for Human Rights in both the Statelessness Unit and in the Refugee and Migrant Rights programme among others.

As an individual who is always striving to maintain a standard of excellence, Agnes has seized every opportunity possible to learn and grow in experience by serving as a mentee to Magistrate Ruby Matthys through the South African Chapter of the International Association of Women Judges Mentorship programme. Through all these experiences, Agnes has developed an amplified appreciation of time management, self-regulation and diligence.
