SALC Amicus: Masupha v Senior Resident Magistrate for the Subordinate Court of Berea and Others
16th January 2000, 12:00 pm

The submissions argue that the law denying women the right to succeed to chieftainship is unconstitutional under the Lesotho Constitution as well as under Lesotho's international and regional obligations.  The submissions also highlight the role that the rights to equality and non-discrimination play in ensuring an effective response to the HIV/AIDS pandemic.
