Launched in 2005, SALC represents a joint initiative of the International Bar Association (IBA) and the Open Society Initiative for Southern Africa (OSISA).
Based in Johannesburg, SALC promotes human rights and the rule of law primarily through litigation support and training. SALC operates in the following southern African countries: Angola, Botswana, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, Swaziland, Zambia and Zimbabwe.
