Submission to the committee on the rights of the child regarding the government of Malawi’s combined third, fourth and fifth periodic
In advance of the preparation of the list of issues for the Republic of Malawi’s periodic report to the Committee on the Rights of the Child (the Committee), the Southern Africa Litigation Centre (SALC) and the Center for Human Rights Education Advice and Assistance (CHREAA) would like to bring to the attention of the Committee concerns regarding the detention of primary caregivers and the best interest of the child; the incarceration of unaccompanied, migrant children, the imprisonment of children and child marriages.
